“It’s easy to start a QuickTime screen recording, but I can’t find the Stop option during the screen recording and can’t end the recording when I need to. Can anyone tell me how to stop QuicTime screen recording?”
You can easily stop QuickTime screen recording on your Mac by pressing the shortcut, Command + Control + Escape, clicking the Stop button in the middle of the menu bar, or tapping the Stop option in your Touch Bar if you are using an earlier MacBook Pro model.
After ending the screen recording, you can go to the Desktop or the folder you selected in Options to check the recorded video.
If you want to customize the shortcut for stop screen recording on Mac, you can use a third-party screen recording tool like SurFlex Screen Recorder. It allows you to set up the shortcut for starting/stopping recording, pausing/resuming recording, and more. By doing so, you can take more control over video recordings on your Mac.
To customize the stop recording shortcut:
Step 1. Download and install the screen recorder on your Mac.
Step 2. Launch the app and click Settings.
Step 3. Click the Advanced tab and customize the shortcut.
