“Why can’t I find my Teams meeting recordings? Where are Teams recordings saved in cloud? I’ve recorded several important meetings but have no idea where the recordings go.”
In earlier days, Teams recordings will be stored in Microsoft Stream. But since Q1 of 2021, all Teams meeting recordings will be saved to OneDrive or SharePoint, depending on the type of the meeting.
More specifically, channel meetings will go to Files > Recordings. Files saves all files in SharePoint and anyone in the channel can edit and view the recordings.
All other Teams meetings will be stored in the meeting organizer’s OneDrive > the Recordings folder. Anyone who attended the meeting can view the recording.
Besides, Teams meeting recording will expire after a period of time, depending on the settings made by the admin. If you prefer to save Teams recordings to your local storage, you can use a third-party screen recording software like SurFlex Screen Recorder. It will save any Teams recording to your PC or Mac and you can freely access the video whenever you want to.
