“I have recorded a video using Xbox Game Bar and the app showed me the Game clip recorded message after the recording. Where are my recordings saved in Windows 10?”
When you screen record on Windows 10 (or Windows 11) using Xbox Game Bar, the recordings are saved to This PC > Videos > Captures (C:\Users\admin\Videos\Captures) by default. You can check the storage path by going to Settings> Gaming > Captures on your computer.
If you want to change where your screen recordings are saved in Windows 10, you can use File Explorer to move the Captures folder to your preferred location. No matter where you move Captures to, Windows will continue to save the screen recordings and screenshots you create with Xbox Game Bar to that folder.
If you not only want to adjust the recording storage path but also wish to customize the folder name, you will need a third-party screen recorder for Windows 10, such as SurFlex Screen Recorder. To change the destination folder and storage path:
Step 1. Open SurFlex Screen Recorder and click Settings.
Step 2. Under General, click the folder icon next to the Output Folder option.
Step 3. Select or create a folder to save your screen recordings.
