“How do I find my Google Meet recordings? I started a Google Meet meeting just now and recorded the meeting for sharing. But I don’t know where the recording is saved and I need it now.”
The Google Meet recordings are automatically saved to the meeting organizer’s Google Drive by default and the meeting host can find them under My Drive > Meet recordings folder. Besides, the meeting organizer and the person who started the recording will receive an email that contains the recording link and they can directly access the recording by visiting the link.
As you can see, Google Meet saves the recordings to cloud storage, which is convenient for sharing but may not be preferred when you wish to save the recorded videos in local storage. If you are more willing to save the recordings to your computer, it’s necessary to record Google Meet meetings using a third-party tool, such as SurFlex Screen Recorder. It is available for both Windows and macOS and enables you to record Google Meet without others knowing. Most importantly, it allows you to customize the output folder of the recordings and you can save them in any location you need.
To set up the recording output folder:
Step 1. Download and install the Google Meet recorder on your computer.
Step 2. Launch the app and go to Settings.
Step 3. Under General, select the output folder according to your preferences.
