“Can I record a video in Microsoft Teams? I have an important meeting to join and want to capture it for later viewing. Can I record a Teams meeting?”

Yes, you can record meetings on Teams whether you are the meeting organizer or not. For Teams recording, there are both built-in recording features and third-party screen recorders available:

If you are the host or from the same organization as the meeting organizer, you can use the built-in recording feature to capture and save a Teams meeting.

If you are from another organization or company or a guest, the Record feature won’t be available and you will need a third-party screen recorder, such as SurFlex Screen Recorder, to capture your desired content.

To record on Teams:

  1. Install SurFlex Screen Recorder on your computer.
  2. Select the Teams meeting as the recording area.
  3. Enable audio recording and select System Sound.
  4. Click REC.

Other tools for meeting recording:

  • OBS Studio
  • Bandicam
  • Movavi Screen Recorder
  • Descript
  • Notta
